Turf mower reels can range from $400-$1,100 each, not counting the cost of replacement bed knives and the labor involved in these repairs. At Quick Pony Farms we recycle the material and keep it from going to waste in a landfill. This also helps us keep operational costs more affordable. Landfills charge by the ton ($45 per ton currently), plus the cost of transportation to the landfill. The weight of manure adds up quickly. Our rates are figured purely on our expenses.
